27 Weeks & Growing...

27 weeks today and the last week of my 2nd trimester!  Can not believe it!!  I'm feeling great other than my back is really hurting a lot now.  I completely took advantage of not working all summer and now I'm feeling all the feet and back aches!  I have started having some pretty strong BH contractions.  I don't remember them being painful with Christian.... I just remember the tightening, but these really hurt sometimes.  Our 4D was scheduled for Wednesday in Fort Smith but they called today to reschedule and couldn't get us in a for a couple of weeks... I couldn't wait that long because I've been looking forward to this and counting down the days for two weeks now so I made an appointment at Stork Vision in Tulsa - the same place I went to find out the sex.  They were amazing and worth the drive.. Now we can just make a date out of it Saturday! =)

Harrison weighs about 2 lbs now and is about 14 1/2 inches long.
*
This week's major developments:  He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and even sucking his fingers.  His brain is very active now.  While the lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning with help if he were born now - but we are praying that he stays in there for at least 10 more weeks!!

26 Weeks & Growing...

May I just say that I can not believe I am only a week away from being in my 3rd trimester?!!  Holy moly, where did the time go?!  May I also say that Harrison's room is no where near finished?! haha!  It's actually causing me zero stress at the moment.  I have been sooo exhausted after work that I don't even have the energy to think about it right now.  It will get done before he is here and that's all that matters! =)  It's been a somewhat rough week - We pulled Christian out of daycare, REAL quick like, after a situation yesterday... It was a nightmare and I don't think I will shake it for a while.  I will not go into detail on a social networking site, however! ;)  I feel much better today.... I came home to his little giggles and got videos and pictures from my mom all day of them having fun.  Corey sent me roses to work and they are beautiful.  I will say that I am proud of keeping my witness as a christian by the way I handled the whole situation because there is NOTHING like a mad momma!!  Enough about that though... In just 2 weeks we get to see sweet little Harrison via 4-D ultrasound!!!  We can not wait!!!! =)

Harrison now weighs almost 2 lbs and is about 14 inches long.

This week's major developments:  His ears are now better developed and more sensitive than before.  Not only can he hear my voice, he can hear others that I talk to now, too!  He's really starting to put on body fat, also.

18 Months

Christian... You are 18 months old now... I am a couple of weeks late writing this.  I have had the BEST time ever being off with you all summer!!!  I'm sad to leave you on Monday to start back to work but I know you will be in great hands.  You start school on Monday... your very first day in toddler class!!  You received a card in the mail from your teacher today and it about made momma cry!!  I don't know where time has gone.... but I know before long I will be getting a card in the mail from your kindergarten teacher. :(  It just goes by way too fast.  All of your school supplies are in your backpack and ready to go!  You will only be going there on Monday and Tuesday's because your Nana keeps you.  I didn't want to pull you completely out of it though because I know how much you enjoy being around all the other kids and learning.
*
*You wear 12-18 months in most things and 18-24 months in some.  You wear a size 4 in diapers.
*You are really starting to talk a lot!!!  You say a ton of words now and I feel like you understand the meaning of most things.  I can tell you just about anything and you do it or I can tell you understand it.  You can count to 4 on your own now and you're starting to get really good at sorting objects and colors.  We have been working on our ABC's but you sing it more like a song instead of realizing the different letters.. ;)
*Some of your favorite shows are Sesame Street, Word World, Super Writers, and Dinosaur Train.
*You still go to sleep around 7:30 and you wake up around 8:00.  I'm sure that will change now that you are going to be on my schedule in the mornings.  Hopefully it won't move up your bed time by much though because we finally started back to night church because you stay up late enough for us to go! :)
*I don't even know how many teeth you have right now...  a LOT!  You are getting about 4 in and surprisingly they are PERFECTLY straight!!!
*You haven't been sick in so long that I don't even remember... PRAISE THE LORD!!  No more runny noses or ear infections!
*Bath time is still your favorite!!  If someone even accidentally says the word bath you take off running for it!
*Of course you still look just like your daddy but I'm surprised at how many people say you look like me when you smile and make all the facial expressions you do!  You still act just like me though and even though you get into things like a little boy, you are so tender hearted already.  Everyone is amazed about how sweet and laid back you are all the time. <3

I love you so much baby boy.... I can't believe you are 1 1/2 years old!

25 Weeks & Growing...

I started back to work and sure enough... the weeks are flying by even faster!  I went through a few bad days of nausea but I think it might be gone now.  I'm really starting to feel the extra weight though... I'm just so tired and sore if I stand all day.  We had open house last night, which means 5 hours of standing... My feet were about to die because I had to wear cute shoes, of course! ;)  Thank God for having such a sweet husband to rub my feet and back all the time... He is amazing!  I had a doctor appointment this week.  Everything looks great except for my crazy weight gain this month, YIKES - 6 lbs!!!  I had been doing so stinkin good at only gaining 2 lbs between appointments but I sure made up for it this time!  I asked him if it was a problem thinking he might get onto me but he said I'm still in the perfect "weight gain area."  He said I'm on track to gain between 25-30 lbs... We'll see.  Harrison is measuring between 23-24 weeks so hopefully he will be an average size baby!!  Christian always measured right on and he was 7.9 - perfect.  Blood Pressure & baby's heart beat was great and that was all to that appointment... I have my glucose test in the morning and I am praying really hard that I pass it!  I want to avoid the 4 hour, 4 needles in the arm test at ALL cost!!  3 more weeks until our 4D ultrasound - I will be counting down until then!!  We are very excited about it! =)

Harrison now weighs about 1 1/2 lbs and is is about 14 inches long.
*
This week's developments:  He's starting to grow a lot of hair (if he has any) and you would be able to tell the color and texture already!

24 Weeks & Growing...

24 weeks - Does that make me 6 months pregnant?  That all confuses me because if it went like that, then you're actually pregnant for 10 months and that sounds awful.  Anywho... I went back to work today after having a fabulous 11 weeks off and what do ya know, I had morning sickness for the first time in forever!!  I guess I just hadn't been up that early to experience it in a very long time.... ha!  It went away pretty quickly but man am I tired!!!  I am completely exhausted and if it were dark enough in my room to go to sleep right now, at 6:45, I would!!  Instead, I took a hot bath, sent the hubs to get some chocolate cheese cake, and I'm going to enjoy that on the couch while watching Big Brother until I can go to bed for the night.  Harrison is moving constantly now and has some pretty strong kicks and punches.  He woke me up in the middle of the night last night moving so much.  I just laid there and soaked it all in... I remember that being the only thing I missed about being pregnant.  I'm still feeling great, other than being wore out tonight.  Next doctors appointment is Monday! =)
*
Harrison is growing steadily and has gained about 4 ounces since last week and he's about a foot long.
*
This week's major developments:  His brain is developing rapidly now and his taste buds are developing.  His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree."

Changing pad cover is finished... looks great!!

23 Weeks & Growing...

I have to say it just keeps getting better and better... This is the best I've felt all pregnancy!  I have a ton of energy and the nesting has set in early this time.  I have to have my house spotless and I'm also redoing the kitchen and living room, while getting Harrison's room ready and my classroom ready!!  I think I'm wearing my husband out with all the projects!  I scheduled my 4D ultrasound yesterday and we are very excited about that... I'm going to have it in about 4 weeks so that I can do it about the same time as we had Christian's.  My belly is really growing - Straight out just like last time!!  I haven't really gained anywhere else that I can tell other than the extra water weight/bloated look.  I stepped on the scales for the first time at home last night and I've gained 14 lbs total.  I'm happy with that.  I'd like to stay in the 20's but that probably won't happen.  I'd be happy in the 30's since I gained 40 with Christian!!  We finally got Harrison's room cleared out of all of our stuff.  We had so much stored in there, it was unbelievable!!  We have only been in the house a little under 3 years... What on earth is 30 years of marriage going to look like??  We aren't even hoarders in the least bit but it was a little overwhelming going through all the "stuff" we had already accumulated!  Mrs. Trish is doing a FANTASTIC job on the bedding.  The skirt for the crib is done and we have it on there now, along with the mattress that is waiting on the sheet to come in.  I just ordered it because I was trying to match the navy with the navy and white chevron she is making for the changing pad cover.  I think the bumpers might be done this weekend so the crib is soon to be finished!!  I am so excited!!  We plan on getting his room painted this weekend, fingers crossed.  I think that's about all.... I have a doctor's appointment in a little over a week.  I think it's about time for the dreaded glucose test but he didn't mention it last time so maybe I bought some extra time... ;)  Really hoping I don't have to go through the 4 hour one this time... It was dreadful and not something I want to do again.... maybe I won't eat Geno's 4 hours before my test this time! ;) hehe!
*
Harrison weighs a little over 1 lb and is about 12 inches long.
*
This week's major developments:  His sense of movement is now developed so he can feel me dance... This is funny!  You may also be able to see him squirm in your belly - YEP!!  He is a busy little dude and we can literally sit and watch him move around in there now.. So crazy!! Loud noises are becoming familiar now such as the dark barking or the vacuum making noise.

I got sick of the chalk board ordeal so this is as good as it gets, folks! ;)
