Playing Catch Up...

I admit, I have not been doing a good job of keeping up with my blog! I've been spending every second I can with my family before going back to work next week! Gosh, I can not believe summer break is already over! I mean, where in the world did it go?! I'm going to be one sad momma next Monday having to leave my little angel, but I'm very excited to get back to work, see all my friends, work on my classroom, and meet all my new kiddos!! The first day of school as a teacher is just as exciting as the first day of school when I was a student! I still can't sleep the night before! So, since I have been a total slacker the past couple of weeks, I have a lot to talk about!!!

First of all.... Oh my gosh, my little boy has changed so much!!! He just gets cuter and cuter every single day!! He is now eating all kinds of baby food.. loves it all! He rolls over both ways and LOVES it... He is constantly rolling himself! He gets on his belly and his little arms and legs go ninety to nothin, but poor thing doesn't go anywhere! haha He gets very frustrated.. he wants to crawl so bad! He is also starting to sit up by himself. He is just a little wobbly so I have to sit with him to make sure he doesn't fall over. If he gets his hands positioned on his legs the right way though, he'll sit up for a while! It just doesn't even look right when I see him sitting up looking at me! I remember putting him down on a blanket in a curled up position and he wouldn't move for hours..... Oh, how things change!! It's definitely bitter sweet.. As much as I would love to keep him a little baby forever, I am enjoying watching him grow up so much!! Corey and I just sit in amazement of this little miracle that we created! It's by far the best feeling in the world, nothing compares!
5 months old!
Just Gorgeous!!!

His first 4th of July!!!
We celebrated our 1st anniversary a couple of weekends ago!! Corey surprised me and took me on a train ride through the Ozarks. I mean how romantic?! He is just simply amazing. We always talked about how we want to go by the "traditional" wedding gifts every year. So, year 1 is "paper"... We did the very same thing for each other!!! We think so much alike it's insane! We made each other a scrapbook and it was so sweet. I mean, I was pretty proud of myself for making this awesome scrapbook for him... but I have to say, it did not compare to the one he made for me! He took all of our wedding pictures and wrote things beside each one.. My first thoughts were.. He is a MAN and he took all of this time to make me a scrapbook?! He never stops amazing me! I love that man so much it's crazy!!
Just boarded the train!!

The top of our wedding cake
We have had a very busy summer! We had a few friends get married this summer which is always fun to celebrate!! I enjoy weddings so much more now that we are married. It's like we fall right back to that moment when we watch them say "I do." It's so emotional and I remember how every single emotion runs through you at that very moment! Hands down the best moment of your life UNTIL your sweet little baby is born! Nothing can top that one! Anyway, the most recent wedding we went to was Mallory and Valente's. It was beautiful and she was just a gorgeous bride! I am so happy for the two of them!! She found her soul mate and they are just perfect together! So, CONGRATS to Mr. & Mrs. Babb! ;) The reception was a ton of fun!! Corey and I got to see friends that we haven't seen in such a long time and it was a blast getting everyone together! It's funny how so much changes in just a few years... I can't imagine my life any other way than it is right now. When we got home that night we were just so happy to see Christian! It's nice to have nights out with each other and our friends but it's always such a great feeling to come home to him! Corey and I had such a great talk that night when we got home about how much our lives have changed in just one year! Wow! I just thank God so much for blessing us immensely. I honestly feel like the luckiest woman alive. Not only did he allow us to find our soul mate and fall so in love, he has continually blessed our marriage over and over. Thank You, Lord!!

Last but definitely not least.... We joined Kibler Baptist Church yesterday, 7/24/11. We have been visiting for a couple of months and just fell in love with the church family!! What an AMAZING group of people!! I mean they are some of the kindest hearted, down to earth, thoughtful people we have ever met in our life!! After having this long journey of finding a church to raise our kids in, we finally found the perfect one. Coincidentally it was right after our first year of marriage. It seems like everything has just been falling into place. We have made some changes in our lives that will hopefully make us continually work on our personal lives and our lives together. When we said "til death do we part" we meant it and by no means do either of us think it's going to be all rainbows and butterflies. ;) We know marriage and raising children takes a lot of work and dedication and we are ready! I pray everyday that God will continue to grow in our lives and our marriage!! Only through Him can you have a successful relationship. Not only did we join our church yesterday, but Corey got baptized!!! Praise the Lord!!!! The only church he ever went to while growing up was Catholic, so he had never been baptized before. It was one of the most special moments we have shared together. Our church had baptism at Clear Creek last night. It was awesome!!! I felt immediately closer to him and on a whole different level. I'm sure everyone gets sick of hearing me talk about what an amazing husband I have, but that's why you don't have to read my blog! haha ;) I can't help it... I love that man to pieces and I love to talk about just how great he is!

Such an amazing moment.
I told you I had a lot to talk about! I think that's all for now though.... I will try to keep up a little better now!! :) Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer despise the nasty heat! Until next time.... Have a blessed day!!

Rockabye Baby....

First, I just have to say... I am loving this time off with Christian more than anything!! I didn't get into the teaching profession for the "breaks" but they sure are nice!! Especially now that I have a baby! My favorite thing to do with him now is to rock him to sleep. I love rocking back and forth while he just stares up at me and smiles. It is the best feeling ever! That little boy just melts my heart! He's really starting to change... He has the sweetest little personality ever.. He is trying to talk all the time now. He says "dada" a lot and what sounds like "daddy".. He also mumbles all different consonants and it sounds like he's talking! He just started eating baby food last week. His first thing to eat were bananas, and now he has had apples and pears also. He loves the pears the best! He likes to play with his toys now and he's always got something in his mouth!! Poor baby is teething really bad right now.. I am starting to see white under his gums on his bottom left tooth so maybe he will cut that one soon! I hate that it hurts him! :(  Other than that, everything is just perfect! He just turned 5 months old and he's growing like a weed!! Well, I think that's all for now.. I'll post about our 4th of July weekend later!

Until next time... Have a wonderful night!!

Our 1st Family Vacation...

We just got home from San Antonio for vacation. When I say "we", I mean ALL of us.... Me, Corey, Christian, AND Khloe! haha It was quite the adventure!! It's about 10 hours from here to San Antonio. We decided it would be best if we left out around 8:00 pm since that's Christian's bedtime so he could sleep the whole way. Well, we were running late and we didn't get out of here until 10:30 Wednesday night. Needless to say it was a loooong night... I was so sleep but the car was so packed that I couldn't really get comfortable enough to sleep, and poor Corey drove all through the night. I think I drove an hour total on the way there.. but he insisted! Khloe did really well... I was surprised! She went to sleep and didn't even bark! We made a few pit-stops to change Christian and let Khloe go potty. All in all it went so smoothly!! I just felt so bad for Christian having to be in a carseat for that long. :( I got him out when we stopped and let him stretch, then he would just go right back to sleep! SUCH a great baby!!!!
Pictures of the babies all packed in!!

We finally made it to San Antonio around 9:00 Thursday morning. We were both like zombies!! Thank goodness Christian was sleepy, so we all took a long nap! When we woke up, we got ready and headed to Babies R' Us!! I was so excited to go because I have never been to one!! Christian got a super cute new pack n play, a carrier, and some cute clothes thanks to Grandpa!! We went to the River Walk for the evening... It was sooo pretty!! Everywhere you looked was just beautiful down there! We ate at Mi Tierra, such a good Mexican restaurant downtown. It had some really neat decorations.. and a few very interesting ones! haha Christian was trying to grab my food and eat it for the first time!! I guess that means he's almost ready for baby food!!

I mean, they are identical!

This was the ceiling of the restaurant!
We spent the rest of the evening walking around the River Walk downtown.. It was so beautiful! The weather was even better than here because it's not so humid! I couldn't sleep that night because I was so excited that we were going to Sea World the next day!! WHOOHOO!! I have wanted to go to Sea World my entire life!! It was all that I hoped for and more.. Amazing! My favorite part was the Shamu Show!! Christian was amazed by all of the fish! We've decided he has to have a fish tank sometime in the near future because he LOVES staring at the fish!!! We spent the entire day at Sea World... went to the Shamu show, the Beluga Whale show, watched the sharks, dolphins, fish, flamingos, and rode a few rides!! Grandpa watched Christian so Corey and I could have a little fun on the rides! ;)
