Make-Up & Facials

This is going to be a very girlie post... which I love!  I have had several ladies ask me what kind of make-up products I use.  I'm no expert but I did do make-up to put me through college and I know what products are worth the money are what cheaper ones work the same (in my opinion).  So, basically I'm just going to tell you what I use... First of all, it's super important to use great skin care.. it doesn't matter what age you are!!  In fact, the younger the better!!  It's so much harder to try to reduce age spots and wrinkles than it is to prevent them.  I highly recommend ANY skin care that Estee Lauder sells because I can say first hand, it works!  Just make sure you are using the best kind for your skin type.  If you can't afford Estee Lauder or do not want to spend that much money (which is totally me right now), I honestly think Oil of Olay is great!  I always, always get the type that is "anti-wrinkle" and I get a night cream and a day cream because night creams are heavier and that is the one that really does the work! ;)  I also use a product called "advanced night repair" from Estee Lauder under my night cream and I'm in love with it.  A good cleanser and toner are also important - again, highly recommend Estee Lauder.  If you have big pores, Estee Lauder makes a product called "Idealist" that is UH-mazing for reducing pore size!!  They also make a product called "Perfectionist" that is terrific for wrinkles!  There are other products out there that are newer, more expensive, or cheaper... but these I can highly recommend because I know they work first hand.

On to make up.....  First of all, if you wear foundation my top two favorites are Clinique's "even better" foundation and Estee Lauder's "double wear."  Double Wear is a little more coverage but they are both great.  I have tried a million different concealers because I have terrible dark circles under my eyes from allergies.  My all time favorite is Kat Von D's "tattoo" from Sephora or Ulta.  A tiny bit goes a long way so I have had the same little tube forever.... SOOOO worth ever penny!!  So, that is it for the higher priced items that I can't let go of.  Onto the biggest bang for your buck... I use Loreal's Hydra Perfecte loose powder over my foundation.  I'm a HUGE Revlon colorstay fan for eye make up and lips... that stuff stays on and does not come off until you remove it!  That's the only kind of shadow and eye liner I will buy now.  The lipstick stays on great, too!  As far as mascara goes, I kind of switch all the time... My favorites are Clinique's "high impact", Estee Lauder's "sumptuous", and when it comes down to it, it's all about a wonderful lash primer and that goes to... Lancome for sure!!  Also, if you put a cream or primer on your lids before your shadow, it makes the color stay longer, more true, and makes it pop! Hmm.... Am I leaving anything out??  BLUSH... I have used Clinique's blush forever because they have the color that I love but I think you're pretty safe to venture out on that one. ;)  Oh! It's also all about the brush... invest in good brushes.. it does matter!  If there is anything else you can think of that you have questions about, let me know!  I could talk about beauty products all day!
*This would be all make-up mentioned above that I have on.  This is also when I got most of the messages about what make up to buy after I posted this picture... Let me tell you, I have a whole lot of eye shadow on, even though you might not be able to tell.  If you want dramatic eyes, you have to wear a lot of shadow... and the smokier the better in my eyes (hehe no pun intended)!  Obviously, this isn't like an every kind of day make up but it's fun to get all dolled up!

Now onto facials.... They are amazing. End of story.  You need to get one from time to time... the more often the better.  They make your skin look and FEEL amazing!!!!  It gets every bit of nastiness out of your face... seriously.  I HIGHLY recommend Jennifer at Affinity Skin Care & Lash Studio... not only is she awesome at facials, she is just an awesome person... sweetest woman ever.  You get an amazing massage along with it too, bonus!  It's just something you need to splurge on every now and then, right?  I tell my husband, "facials now or botox later." hahaha!!  He thinks I'm nuts... but I do like to take great care of my skin!  Oh, also.. she gave me a sample of Dermalogica renewal lip complex and I'm pretty sure that is going to make it to my "favorite products" list.  I already love it!
This would be my NO make-up, natural, JUST got done having a facial, face! (Also, have oil in the hair from the facial... but I don't care to share or to be judged.. lol)  My skin feels sooooo good!!! Go get one.. it will change your life! haha!  Also, what a difference make-up makes, huh??  I have to say the whole natural look happens more often right now because it's summer and I'm not working but I LOVE me some make-up!  It's so fun being a woman!

I also apologize if their are an abundant number of typos... this had to happen fast for me to have time to write it finally.
