Be Careful Little Lips What You Say...

Something that has been weighing heavily on my heart lately is... gossip. Honestly, I'm just sick to death of it. It's one of those things that you pray will go away but it doesn't. It's everywhere you go. It's satan trying to sneak right into our lives and keep us from focusing on what is truly important. In the past few weeks I've learned to be kind to everyone, do not join in any conversation that is not pure and positive, and be careful who you trust. I've also learned that a true friend is hard to come by and how thankful I am for the ones I have!! When it comes down to it, you can't control people and their actions and that is not what God wants us to do anyway. Since we have no control of it, then why even let it bother me?? Well, because it's human nature. I can say that I have let it go and I'm no longer letting it bother me and make it a part of my day... All that truly matters are MY actions, my personal relationship with God, and the people I love! :) Anything else are just distractions and speed bumps in me focusing on my walk with God. It's a great feeling to have a sense of peace about it all but it wasn't easy. I have spent many days worrying and upset over stupid things that stupid people say that really doesn't matter at all.

I hope this was somewhat encouraging because I think it's important that we, as Christians, try to support each other in our actions and struggles. I know I do not want to be a person that non-Christians look at and think, "If that is how a Christian acts, then I don't want to be any part of it."

Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

BTW... If you don't understand my title to this post, it's a song! haha I sing it to Christian all the time. :) "Be careful little ears what you hear, be careful little eyes what you see, be careful little lips what you say.. For the Father up above is looking down in love." How true!
